FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY. MEDIA. ROCKED!
Hosted by Captify, 400+ people from across the UK media industry came together in aid of the MS Trust for the inaugural Media Rocks, battle of the agency bands. On the night six agency bands went head to head at Omeara to be judged by an esteemed panel of music industry experts. Get at glimpse of the action here.
The bands battling it out included musicians from Harvest Digital, Manning Gottlieb, Maxus Global, MEC, Online Media Experts and Total Media. Judges included Ben Lovett, one quarter of Grammy award-winning band Mumford & Sons, Radio X DJ Maz Tappuni and Captify’s CEO and ex-professional drummer Dom Joseph.
Switching between original material to credible covers, the crowd went wild for the eclectic mix of everything from heavy metal to hip hop. Particular mosh pit homage was paid to Harvest Digital’s band, Concrete Age and their rendition of the Drop Kick Murphy classic ‘Shipping out to Boston’.
All the acts put on an incredible live performance but it was Total Media’s, Phelanto & the Vials who took home the glory and the Media Rocks trophy (plus ultimate bragging rights as media’s best band).
